Formed in 2001, Community Asset Builders, LLC is a comprehensive, women-owned, consulting and association management company. We provide a variety of services to a diverse client base at reasonable fees. We can provide stability to organizations by allowing their leadership to focus energy on issues that add value to the organization and its members rather than spending energy on administrative responsibilities. We help organizations deal with day-to-day operations in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Commitment to our clients is demonstrated through a high level of quality service, accurate reporting and effective communication. We take pride in offering results-oriented, cost-effective service that is responsive to our clients' needs.

Our team of experts in a variety of disciplines and our staff of six full-time employees and provides full management services for four associations, as well as consulting and outsourcing services for several other non-profit retainer clients. Our firm understands that the non-profit environment is constantly changing; therefore, we invest in well-trained staff and technology to exceed anticipated needs in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Doris Boeckman
Doris Boeckman is co-owner of Community Asset Builders. Formed in 2001, Community Asset Builders is a health improvement consulting firm providing a variety of services to a diverse array of non-profit clients that includes statewide associations, federally qualified health centers, health systems, hospitals, and local public health agencies. Doris has also served as Executive Director of the Missouri Public Transit Association since 2006 and was the Executive Coordinator of the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services from 2001 through 2012. Community Asset Builders’ extensive experience in community assessment, planning and federal, state and foundation-focused grant-writing brings an expert skill set to the table, and has resulted in over $130 million in grant funding for clients over the past 10 years. Prior to forming Community Asset Builders, for 2 and ½ years Doris served as the Community Interventions Consultant for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, was Director of Community Health for the Missouri Hospital Association for the two years prior, and grants administrator for the Missouri Infertility Prevention Project from 1994 through 1996, a four-state regional initiative. Early in her career, she spent 13 years in a variety of roles with the Missouri Medicaid program. Doris is a lifetime resident of Missouri and received a degree in Business Administration from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri.

Suzanne Stafford-Alewine
Suzanne Alewine is a principal partner and CEO of Community Asset Builders. Formed in 2001, Community Asset Builders, LLC is a health improvement focused consulting firm providing a variety of services to a diverse array of non-profit clients that includes Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospitals, local public health agencies and statewide associations. Principals and team members provide technical assistance to identify tools and resources to design and sustain community and organizational processes and interventions, develop effective communication strategies, evaluate programs and services, and utilize technology for effective change and/or cost efficiencies. Community Asset Builders’ extensive experience in federal, state and foundation-focused grant-writing brings and expert skill set to the table, and has resulted in over $100 million for clients in the past 10 years.

Prior to forming Community Asset Builders, Suzanne Alewine served the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as a team member, and then as Director of the Community Health Assistance Resource Team (CHART). She was responsible for providing leadership, consultation and technical assistance to Missouri communities in all aspects of health and quality of life improvement, and for developing strategic alliances to address key state level issues. The team supported over 100 community initiatives statewide. Prior to joining CHART, Suzanne worked in the Department’s budget office, conducting fiscal and policy analysis, developing operating, capital improvements and leased facilities budgets, and coordinating the automation of the Division of Administration.

Suzanne holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Missouri. She is a founding member of the Association for Community Health Improvement, is a past co-chair of the national Healthy Communities Network, and a graduate of the Health Forum’s Creating Healthier Communities Fellowship.

Pam Buschjost
Pam came on board November 1, 2006 as CAB's Finance Director. As such, she is handling all of the financial recordkeeping for several client accounts, including the Missouri Public Transit Association and Missouri Association of School Librarians. Pam's background is in bookkeeping. She has more than 20 years of experience in bookkeeping, working at Jefferson Bank for many years and for Schrimpf Management, a large properties management firm in Jefferson City, the last ten years. Currently, she is managing accounts receivables and payables, bank deposits, and financial recordkeeping for multiple clients.

Lisa Huff
Lisa has been with CAB since early 2004. She manages the office and serves as grants administrator for the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services’ Emergency Housing Assistance Program grant. Effective January 2007, she began providing additional support to clients in the area of conference planning. Lisa also serves as the primary Association Executive for MOANCOR.  Lisa previously worked for Central Bank in Jefferson City and has significant human resource and merchant account experience.

Patty Gaffke
Patty joined CAB on June 1, 2006. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Avila in Kansas City. She does all the graphic design work for CAB clients, including newsletters, business cards, conference programs, promotional materials, annual reports, etc. Her creative talents and skills turn ordinary documents into eye-catching tools for our clients. Patty also functions as our photographer when needed or requested. Before coming to CAB, she was employed by Jeff City Printing.

Christina Stafford Freeman
Christina has been with CAB since February 2005. Christina works with clients on web-development and management. She assists clients with strategic planning, organizational assessments, project evaluations, conference planning and management, and resource development. Community assessment projects, which include research, data analysis, and report development, also fall into her scope of expertise. Christina previously worked in Information Technology for the Missouri Veterans Commission and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. She received her Masters Degree in Business Administration from William Woods University.
